OGUNCCIMA Appoints Prince Taiwo Abass as Publicity Secretary
The Ogun State Chambers of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (OGUNCCIMA) has formally announced the appointment of Prince (Engr.) Taiwo Abass as its Publicity Secretary, following the approval of the Executive Council.
The appointment, conveyed through a letter dated 24th September 2025 and signed by Mr. Wakeel Olaniyan, Secretary-General of OGUNCCIMA, takes effect from Tuesday, 30th September 2025.
According to the letter, Prince Abass is expected to coordinate all media and public relations activities on behalf of the President, prepare and circulate press releases and official announcements, maintain a positive public image for the Presidency, and advise on communication strategies for public engagements.
The appointment, the letter stated, is in recognition of his proven competence, dedication, and commitment to the ideals of the organization.
Prince Abass brings to OGUNCCIMA over 25 years of industry experience spanning oil, gas, and energy management. He is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Tabass Gas and Marine Limited and formerly served as Managing Director of CDR Engineering Consultancy Nigeria Limited.
He has also held several strategic roles, including Business Development Manager/Country Manager with Chester LNG Nigeria Limited, Senior Consultant at CDR Engineering Consultancy Nigeria Limited, and Project Manager with Dansa Energy Resource Limited and Borkir International Company Limited, both subsidiaries of the Dangote Group.
His international experience includes serving as Gas Analyst with Accenture UK, leading consultancy projects across Africa and Europe, and spearheading initiatives for Nigeria’s Ministry of Petroleum Resources to develop frameworks for using Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) as a cheaper alternative to petrol and diesel.
Prince Abass was also part of the technical team that collaborated with the Ministry of Power and the Office of the Vice President on gas supply for the National Integrated Power Projects (NIPP) plants at Omotosho, Geregu, Olorunsogo, Sapele, and Ihovbor, contributing significantly to the Federal Government’s revitalization plans for the power sector.
An alumnus of the University of Salford, Greater Manchester, UK, where he obtained a Master’s degree in Gas Engineering and Management, he is an Associate Member of the Institute of Gas Engineers and Managers (IGEM), Institute of Energy (IE) in the UK, and the Nigeria Gas Association.
Beyond his corporate achievements, Prince Abass has been instrumental in designing and building gas-powered solutions, including the Dangote CNG Gas Station at Obajana and the Dangote Truck Conversion Centre in Ikeja.
His appointment is expected to strengthen OGUNCCIMA’s communication framework, enhance its visibility, and promote its mission as the voice of the Chamber movement in Ogun State.
The Chamber congratulated Prince Abass on his well-deserved appointment and expressed confidence in his ability to deliver with excellence, integrity, and professionalism.
